DAY 2: monday, april 28. Every Veteran appreciated

FARMINGDALE / EAST MEADOW

START: LONG Island National Cemetery, 2040 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale – 9:30 am

Pick up runners: 5K run – Eisenhower Park Parking Lot 6, Merrick and Stewart avenues, East Meadow – 6:00 pm

Finish:  Eisenhower Park at Veterans Memorial

  • Runners: Suggested $30 donation fee allows you to participate in 1 or more days' events. You will also receive a commemorative T-shirt and challenge coin while supplies last.

Monday is dedicated to all Veterans; Men and Women in uniform...past, present and future.  

Part 1 - Start off at the Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale where we will pay our respects to the Fallen Warriors of Long Island.  We will travel to a few VFW Posts along the way and finish in Eisenhower Park at Parking Lot 6.

Part 2 - Participation runner distance will be a 5K. We will leave from Eisenhower Park, Parking Lot 6 and run to the Eternal Flame at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. We will return to the start and pay tribute at the Veterans Memorial at the end of the run.
